Bliss CBD for Yoga

by Ryan McTeigue on September 15, 2019

Many yogis are now discovering, CBD supplementation is the perfect complement for their practise. In this article we are going to dive into the science of the effects - Bliss CBD oil has on the body, mind and emotions to assist in reaching higher states of being in Yoga.

Firstly, it’s important to note that Bliss CBD oil is a 100% non-psychoactive product. CBD oil itself is a Central Nervous System (CNS) calming agent, working to calm the body and mind down while leaving the user feeling relaxed and clear without any fogginess that can sometimes be associated with THC consumption. Being a CNS calmative, every single human and animal on earth will experience huge value in Bliss CBD oil given our often times frantic, fast paced and cortisol fuelled social condition.

In Yoga, the pure intention is to bring mind, body and emotions (spirit) as one. When one initiates the practise, the separation between the mind, body and emotions is brought to the surface in order to begin the alchemical amalgamation of these 3 elements. To assist in this intention, Bliss CBD oil has a direct effect on:

– Calming overactivity in the brain

– Relieving the energy of stress and anxiety from the body

– Inducing a healthy and positive mood

– Decreasing inflammation (throughout ALL the cells of the body)

– Relieving muscle and joint soreness

– Relaxation of the internal organs for optimum function

Attaining your Zen

Stillness is an essential part of any yoga practice on the journey to inner peace, which can prove to be difficult for most due to our shorter attention spans and digital-world conditioning. If you find it challenging to sit still or control your racing thoughts, Bliss CBD allows the mind to slow down (in frequency), which in-turn allows one to go deeper into the body to achieve a calmer state within their being.

The calm inner state created by Bliss CBD oil is due to the product interacting with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Humans and all animals naturally produce endocannabinoids within the body. When taking CBD, we are not introducing a foreign compound into the body, instead, we are activating our bodies own cannabinoid receptors and boosting our natural production of endocannabinoids.

When our ECS system is activated by Bliss CBD oil a neurotransmitter called Anandamide is released. This neurotransmitter is scientifically known to produce the emotions of joy and elation within the body. In Sanskrit, ‘Ananda’ means ‘bliss’, and this is why Anandamide has been suitably termed by scientists as the - ‘bliss molecule’.

No different from any neurotransmitter in the brain, Anandamide is delicate and is metabolised (broken down) by the body very quickly, which explains why we are unable to maintain an extended or perpetual state of bliss, but rather fleeting moments of it in our practise and day to day life.

By suppressing the enzyme that breaks down Anandamide, Bliss CBD sustains longer-lasting effects of tranquillity, calmness and happiness received from your flow sessions. By incorporating Bliss CBD into your Yoga or meditation ritual, you are ready to take your practice to the next level whether you are a devoted yogi or someone who is dabbling in the occasional Vinyasa. Bliss CBD is so flexible it can enhance a yin or gentle yoga class, but also amplify your focus and endurance in maintaining the more upbeat, quicker-paced power asanas.

As earlier mentioned, CBD works in various ways with our body’s Central Nervous System. When taking Bliss CBD the interaction with the cannabinoid receptors encourages the release of an increased number of natural cannabinoids, which helps to balance the system and produce an anti-inflammatory response. This is the same natural mechanism that gets stimulated when we experiencing pain or physical trauma. Therefore, Bliss CBD aids in the body in recovery after long and challenging asanas by releasing natural pain-suppressing cannabinoids. For joint and muscle pain relief, 1 ml of Bliss Remedy will work exceptionally for faster recovery

Flowing into Stillness

CBD and Yoga is not a new trend. The connection between cannabis and yoga can be traced back to the Ancient Vedas when it was considered as one of the five sacred plants. CBD and yoga is truly a harmonious combination. Its effects vary from; creating the right mindset to practice and meditate - to dissolving your daily worries away during practice. When integrated, Bliss CBD and yoga, work dynamically to amplify each other's  energetic restorative gifts.

In summary, Bliss CBD's soothing effects on the mind and body, work to make us more aware of our surroundings and to profoundly tune in, deepening  our connection to our own body and the universe within our own body, throughout our chosen practice.
